Cause There Is No-one Like Us

The piece is one of my explorations of the concept of guilty pleasures. The soundtrack used as a fixed media accompanying the drum-set solo is based entirely on the disco polo song Tacy jak my (the ones like us) produced by the group called Effect. Disco polo for me represents an iconic example of guilty pleasure listening as its simple musical and lyrical content is often consumed by various social circles that include some highly educated people (musically or otherwise). I bet some of them would probably not want to admit the fondness for the genre.

Instrumentation: drum-set, MIDI keyboard, fixed media (mixer, stereo PA), light projection (laptop, audio interface, condenser mic, projector)
