Something Like a Toccata

A piece for marimba with percussion ensemble accompaniment, where toccata-like music morphs in and out of the groove sections written in different styles from jazz-inspired middle section, through a rubato quasi cadenza to the Drum n Bass finale. 

Instrumentation: sextet: solo marimba, vibes (with log drums), xylophone (with wood blocks), perc 1 (hi-hat, crash, ride, wind gong, 2 Chinese gongs), perc. 2 (SD, bongos), perc. 3 (kick dr, concert BD, floor tom, tam-tam).
